In a now-iconic video, she demonstrated the products by wearing the lip stains and jelly oils while enjoying a juicy burger. The result? A lip stain that didn’t budge. My attention was caught, and I was eager to learn more. But what makes these products so special? For starters, they can be purchased separately to create the illusion of fuller lips or a glossy sheen. However, when paired together, that’s where the magic happens. The duo provides a pigmented, smudge-proof lip that has the same shine as a jelly doughnut on top. It didn’t leave my lips feeling dehydrated or parched, thanks to the argan oil that helped to seamlessly glide on the pigment while keeping my lips hydrated. The oil, as expected, wore off following dinner, but the stain lasted for at least seven hours. However, there is one caveat to consider. When I first used the stain, I was disappointed by how many times I had to go over with the pen for the pigment to really pop. But then I discovered that the formula contains a polymer named polyurethane-3,5, which is held in a cotton-like mechanism. Due to its viscous nature, the stain struggles to flow down the tip if it’s pointing upwards. So, it’s best to store the pen upside down to ensure the stain flows to the tip of the pen and draws an intensely pigmented line. Despite this minor inconvenience, I’m willing to overlook it for the incredible pigmented pout that withstands any snack or smooch. As for the oils, they’re a summer staple that’s sure to be a hit.
